Ms. Patel is a commercial litigator who has represented a broad array of clients from varying industries in investigations and complex commercial disputes, including contract, tort, and putative class action matters. She has experience representing clients in federal and state court, as well as forums for alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Patel practiced at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary M. Rowland of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Honorable Virginia M. Kendall of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. 

Ms. Patel earned her law degree from the University of Chicago and her undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia, where she graduated summa cum laude. Ms. Patel is admitted to practice in Illinois.

  • Represented national food delivery service provider in a Lanham Act class action.
  • Represented national financial institution in investigations by the FDIC and U.S.
    Attorney’s Office involving suspected fraudulent activity.
  • Represented major pharmaceutical company in criminal and civil investigations by U.S.
    Attorney’s Office involving suspected violations of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act
    and related conspiracy. 
  • Represented corporate executive in investigation by U.S. Attorney’s Office involving
    suspected kickbacks and other financial misconduct.
