In November 2020, the Court presiding over an investment fraud lawsuit against Halpern May’s client sustained the demurrer filed by Aaron May and S. Albert Wang, ruling for their client on every defect raised with the Plaintiffs’ complaint. Rather than amend (even once), Plaintiffs took a “walkaway” settlement, dismissing the case with prejudice while receiving no payment from Halpern May’s client.
