In August 2020, Halpern May obtained an important appellate victory on behalf of its client, a major national law firm. By a two to one vote, the California Court of Appeal held that the plaintiffs in the case were bound to arbitrate their claims for legal malpractice by the terms of an agreement between the plaintiffs’ family-owned business and the firm client.
